The leasehold interest of the Dock Blida bar in central London has been acquired by the fledgling luxury bar operator and consultancy group, Fluid Movement, for an undisclosed sum. The Dock Blida is a vacant basement unit located close to Marylebone High Street and was previously a restaurant/wine bar. Christie & Co handled the disposal Fluid Movement is the brainchild of directors Thomas Aske, Bryan Pietersen, Tristan Stephenson and Matt Whiley, who between them have over 25 years of experience in the drinks industry. The company, which also offers a full range of bar consultancy services including bartending courses, plans to transform the Dock Bilda and change its name to Purl. Fluid Movement said: “We are excited about the opportunity to open Purl which is our flagship venue in Marylebone and taking cocktail drinking in the capital to a new level.”
