Fever Bars, the retro music bar operator, is to open its 14th site at a former Litten Tree in Wellingborough, Northamptonshire, on 2 December. The two-room venue, renamed Fever, will open following a £250,000 investment. The venue is held on a lease from a private landlord. Operations director James Elias said he hoped to corner the market in the town. “The 18-25 year-old market hasn’t got anywhere to go so they are travelling to other towns that have nightclubs and bars,” he said. Fever Bars’ most recent opening was another Fever bar in Peterborough, which began trading in August. The company also operates venues in areas including Newbury, Cheltenham, Gloucester, Redditch, Trowbridge, Sutton Coldfield and Walsall. Elias said the firm is still looking for sites.
