An Enterprise Inns landlady is battling the company to stop them turning her pub into a development of flats. Val Harty, landlady of the Redlands Inn in Fareham, Hampshire, said: "I will be jobless and homeless if this pub goes but that's not the most important thing. “People here don't want to see the pub go and we are not giving up. We'll keep on going to the meetings and keep on fighting for it." Enterprise has lost one application to turn the site into 21 flats, and is now preparing an application for 19 flats. The company said that trade was declining at the site.
