Churches should learn from club culture’s sense of alternative spirituality and celebration, says The Bishop of London. "Popular culture has given birth to parallel churches and even parallel sacraments in a quest to satisfy its spiritual hunger and thirst," said the Right Reverend Richard Chartres during a chapel rededication in London. He pointed out that many UK clubs are housed in converted churches and chapels and said that there was room within the church to learn from contemporary culture. The Times 17/07/04 page 15
