Cavendish Bars, the company formed out of various Luminar nightclub assets, has put 14 sites up for sale. Most of the clubs and bars included in the package, which is being marketed through property agent Davis Coffer Lyons, is not thought to be trading. Cavendish, which is led by Po Na Na founder Christian Arden, was formed in April to take 26 loss-making nightclubs out of Luminar. The deal saw Cavendish pay £1 each for five Luminar companies although in reality the deal cost Luminar £9.9m through a mix of reverse premiums, contributions to Cavendish’s property costs and write-downs. The 26 nightclubs last year produced losses of £1.5m. The 14 properties being marketed for sale are: Maymies, Cannock; Fusion, Dudley; Martines, Eastleigh; Time, Edinburgh; Mansion, Harrogate; Shout, Hartlepool; Visage, Huddersfield; Rhythm Room in Hull; Shout, Ilford; Liquid, Lancaster; Déjà Vu, Norwich; Faith, Peterborough; Mansion, Scarborough; and Buzz, Wakefield.
