Cavendish Bars, the company led by Christian Arden, has acquired the freehold of the Strata nightclub in Skipton from Luminar, for undisclosed sum. The venue, which becomes the company’s 14th, has been bought as a going concern and will continue to trade under its current name for the time being. Arden told M&C Report that the site was an “opportunistic acquisition” and that it traded very well. He also didn’t rule out rebranding the site at a later date. He said: “We are delighted to own Skipton’s premier venue and will be investing in the site in due course in order to return it to its former glory.” Cavendish is to opened its seventh Wahoo-branded venue last month in Clacton-on-Sea, Essex. The company also operates Wahoo-branded clubs in Brighton, Lincoln, Southampton, Putney, Oldham and Oxford. The company’s other high street brands include TP’s, Vice Versa & EQ.
