BrewDog, the Scottish brewer and bar operator, is to open its seventh craft beer bar next Friday (4 May) in Manchester. The company has taken a leasehold site on Peter Street, where other operators including Inventive Leisure, All Star Lanes and Manchester-based leisure group Trof have also recently secured outlets. BrewDog said: “The venue has some awesome full height glass windows, killer beams and features we can strip back and expose, some great brickwork and a mezzanine level. It also benefits from some outside space and we will have an area of fixed seating outside the bar.” Manchester will be the firm’s third opening this year, following Nottingham and Newcastle. Leeds is expected to be the next outlet to start trading. BrewDog plans to open 10 bars in total this year, and is thought to be looking at sites in Bristol, Birmingham, Liverpool and London’s Spitalfields.
