BrewDog, the Scottish brewer and bar operator, is seeking its first finance director as it looks to expand rapidly over the next year. The company is also advertising for a new assistant brewer and marketing manager, as well as a packaging operator and a safety technician. Last month BrewDog announced plans to open at least five new bars and a new £7m brewery in Balmacassie, near Aberdeen, in 2012 after raising almost £2m from “fans” via a share issue. BrewDog said: “We are now a £7m turnover business...We intend to grow by a further 100% in 2012 and we require a FD or FC [financial controller] with bite to help us do that.” BrewDog currently operates three bars, in Aberdeen, Glasgow and Edinburgh. A fourth site, in London’s Camden, is due to open on 10 December. The company has already secured its next outlets in Newcastle and Manchester.
