Be At One, the London-based cocktail bar operator, has secured its 11th site in the capital, after taking on an Enterprise Inns leasehold pub in Kings Cross. The group has secured the former Ruby Lounge pub on Caledonian Road, and plans a significant investment” toward redesigning and converting the site, before re-opening it in mid-July. Rhys Oldfield, who co-founded the business with Steve Locke and Leigh Miller, told M&C Report that the group was currently in negotiations on another site and hoped to exchange on a further two, with the majority believed to be in the City. He said: “We would be disappointed if we didn’t reach our target of opening four new sites before the end of our financial year.” Earlier this year, the company appointed Zolfo Cooper to advise it on its investment options for future growth, as it looks to double to size of its current 10-strong estate in London and eventually grow outside the capital. Oldfield saud that the company had received “some interest” from private equity groups, which was “encouraging”, but that the group continued to review their options and concentrate on its current estate. Outside of the capital, it is thought the company will target locations in Brighton, Bristol, Manchester and York. Property advisor Davis Coffer Lyons acted on behalf of Enterprise Inns on the Kings Cross deal.
