The Barracuda Group has invested £1.85m in the opening of its latest Smith & Jones site in Cambridgeshire. The company has opened the 10-room Ye Olde Griffin hotel in the town of March following a refurbishment, bringing its estate to 221 sites. The venue comprises a pub with different areas including a quiet room, a bar and will feature a carvery on Sundays. The company recently opened its 13th pub under its Smith & Jones brand in Scotland in Ayrshire, the home town of Mark McQuater, barracuda’s chief executive. The £800,000 Malt Cross serves breakfast, an all-day menu and a range of cask ales and wines.
