Two-Michelin-starred Italian chef Bruno Barbieri is to open a restaurant in London in March next year, after taking the former Café Luc site in Marylebone High Street. The former Relais & Château Grand chef, who is a judge on the Italian version of Masterchef, will open the site under the name Cotidie. It is understood that Barbieri beat three or four well known operators to secure the high-profile site. Café Luc, which closed last month, was owned by daughter and father, Julie and Luc Van Oostende, the creator of Le Pain Quotidien. Shelley Sandzer acted on behalf of Café Luc.
