London brewer and operator Fuller's has opened a new training centre. The new Centre of Excellence includes a full working cellar and bar as well as a classroom and conference facilities. The centre will be used to help train licensees, staff and free-trade customers and has a range of BII accredited courses on offer including cask and keg beer management, health and safety, product knowledge and presentation. John Roberts, managing director of Fuller’s Beer Company, added: “Beer quality is of paramount importance to Fuller’s, as discerning beer drinkers will often hunt out pubs with a reputation for serving a good pint. “Whatever a customer orders, they expect it in perfect condition, and we aim to help publicans provide exactly that, every time. “Good cellar craft is a critical skill for any bar person and I am delighted that the new centre will allow us to train even more people in the art of serving a good pint.”
