Richard Burrows, one of two deputy chief executives at Pernod Ricard, will retire from his day-to-day role at the beginning of next year. Pierre Pringuet, the other deputy, will become sole deputy chief executive, strengthening his credentials as a possible future successor to Patrick Ricard, chairman and chief executive. Burrows said he would remain a director while retaining the post of chairman of its Irish Distillers unit.
