Premiership footballer Jimmy Bullard has bought the One Bell pub in Crayford, Kent, for an undisclosed sum. The Hull City star will leave the day-to-day running of the freehold pub to his father Jimmy Bullard Senior. The community wet-led pub, which is situated two miles outside Dartford town centre and close to Crayford dog track, has a 38-seat main bar with games area, beer garden and a three-bedroom owner’s accommodation. The pub will shortly close for refurbishment and is set to re-open with a more contemporary style in place. The deal was handled on behalf of an unnamed national pub operator by property firm Christie & Co. Barry Fitzgerald from Christie & Co’s corporate pubs team said: “We are delighted to have been able to secure such a high-profile tenant for this popular community pub. The business currently trades as a wet-led pub but there is potential to increase trade by extending the food offering.”
