Futures Café bar in the City of London has been sold for an undisclosed fee to Davy’s of London.

Simon Burke, an associate director at Christie & Co, who negotiated the sale, said: “Having set up and developed this popular business since 1994, our clients are now moving on to pursue other personal interests.

“The business created a lot of interest and we invited best and final bids, receiving 12 qualified offers. After all the offers had been considered our clients chose Davy’s as the preferred purchaser.”

The 100-seat restaurant in Exchange Square has been voted the UK’s number one vegetarian restaurant by both the Independent and Daily Telegraph.

Davy’s operates a wine merchant as well as Davy’s Wine Bars.
