Jeremy Beadles, the chief executive of the Wine & Spirit Trade Association (WSTA), is to leave the organisation in the new year, after six years, to take up the position of corporate relations director at Heineken UK. Beadles, who spent five years as managing director of the British Retail Consortium (BRC) before joining the WSTA, said was forward to a new challenge and thanked the team he was leaving behind. WSTA board member Tim How said: "The last six years have seen a radical change in the way the WSTA works on behalf of our industry and I would like to thank Jeremy for his tremendous contribution to this. The Association's standing with Government and the media has never been higher. We have an excellent team working hard for our membership, which has grown in that time from 200 to 344 businesses. "On behalf of the board and the members I wish Jeremy every success in the future." The appointment of Beadles comes a day after Heineken UK appointed Jacco van der Linden as its new marketing director.
