White Horse Brewery, the Oxfordshire-based company, is to open its second site after acquiring the Buck & Bell pub in Banbury. Work to re-brand the pub as The White Horse at Banbury Cross is expected to begin in December with the opening planned for early in the New Year. The brewery opened its first pub, The Royal Blenheim, on St Ebbes St in Oxford in 2008. Andy Wilson, managing director, said: “This is an excellent move for the brewery and emphasises our commitment to bringing quality ale to people across the region. “Our existing pub in Oxford has gone from strength to strength by selling top notch ales and locally sourced food served in a friendly environment. We are very excited to bring our philosophy and quality beers to The White Horse at Banbury Cross.”
