West End pubs have suffered in the wake of the recent terrorist attacks on London, while suburban drinking establishments remain largely unaffected, according to new data from the Association of Licensed Multiple Retailers. The trade body found that a drop-off in domestic rather than foreign tourists has largely contributed to the problem. ALMR chief executive Nick Bish said: "Operators in the tourist areas of the West End are the ones that are feeling the pinch. The city of London is less obviously so, and in the suburbs you hardly notice."
