Wagamama-style dining halls are one of the recommendations in a new Government booklet sent to schools to "meet pupils' needs in the 21st century". But with no costings included, hard-up headmasters have described the glossy booklet as a waste of money. Meanwhile, from the weekend the sale of fizzy drinks, chocolate and crisps in school vending machines became illegal. Schools also cannot sell junk food at break time.
