Befran Properties Ltd has acquired the Biagio Chez Victor site in London’s Soho from the Biagio Group, with plans to launch a new Turkish concept at the venue. Befran are looking to rollout a chain of restaurants in the capital and are rumoured to have also acquired another central London restaurant for their new as-yet unnamed concept. The company will continue to trade the 140-cover Wardour Street site as an Italian restaurant, but will eventually re-brand and convert it to trade under a new brand. The Biagio Group, the London-based chain of Italian restaurants, bars and cafes placed four of its six-strong estate on the market earlier this year. Biagio Caroleo, the vendor, is looking to retire having been operating restaurants in London since the 70’s. His portfolio comprises of some of London’s flagship sites and he still operates units in Piccadilly, Southbank, Docklands, Leicester Square and Soho. Befran acquired the Wardour Street site for a premium of £350,000. Property advisor Coleman Dean acted for Biagio Caroleo, while Colliers acted for Befran.
