Truman’s Brewery, the London-based enterprise re-established last year by Michael-George Hemus and James Morgan, has made the latest list of potential occupiers for the Olympic media and broadcast centre, The company is on a list of 19 businesses that hopes to take space at the £355m development after the conclusion of the 2012 Olympics. Truman's has submitted a proposal to convert part of the Olympic site into a brewery, pub and visitor centre. Once based in Brick Lane, Truman’s was relaunched last year in Spitalfields' Elder Street. Truman's, which started life in 1666, was once the world's biggest brewery but the growing popularity in continental style lagers meant the brewery was closed in the 1980s.
