Financial Mail on Sunday has unmasked Tory leadership pretender David Cameron as a part-time adviser to Urbium. The newspaper notes that the Tiger Tiger group has been criticised for aggressively lobbying local authorities to obtain 3am licences for its premises and for drunken incidents involving top footballers. The shadow education secretary said Urbium was a responsible operator and he had been a director for three years, a fact that was fully declared in the Register of Members’ Interests. Labour MP Kevan Jones said it was hypocritical for an MP who wrote a Tory manifesto condemning binge drinking to be in the pay of the drinks industry. Urbium said it was a professional responsible licensed retailer that targeted an older market of 25-40-year-olds. The Mail on Sunday 29/05/05 page 9
