Restaurant booking website Toptable has launched a new service offering, in effect, gift vouchers for eateries across the capital. Each Wednesday Toptable Spotlight will offer foodies the chance to purchase dining out certificates, valid for six months, for a featured restaurant, starting today with Rowley Leigh’s Le Cafe Anglais. In the case of Le Café Anglais diners can buy £40 of credit to spend in the restaurant for £20. The offer is open for 36 hours after which time subscribers will receive a certificate that they can use themselves or gift to friends and family. Chris Wood, managing director of Toptable, said of the new offer: “Diners get a great deal and restaurateurs get new customers and revenue. Plus Spotlight introduces gifting so customers can buy dining certificates for their foodie friends to redeem at top restaurants.”
