Street Kitchen, the mobile food unit created by Jun Tanaka, Michelin-trained executive chef at Pearl Restaurant & Bar, and Mark Jankel, founder of The Food Initiative, is to take up a three-month residency in Broadgate's Finsbury Avenue Square. Housed in a vintage Airstream unit, the concept, which was launched at last year’s London Restaurant Festival, will offer “British bistro-style take away food of restaurant quality” from 27 June. Alice Keown, Davis Coffer Lyons, restaurant leasing agent for Broadgate, which is owned by British Land and Blackstone, said: “Street Kitchen, in conjunction with the popular fortnightly farmers market, demonstrates the evolution of the catering offer at Broadgate, and follows the opening of the highly successful White Horse gastropub last year. Street Kitchen will be a strong addition to Finsbury Avenue Square, offering people working at Broadgate and in the surrounding a unique ‘restaurant quality’ product throughout the summer.”
