Ssoosh Inns, the multi-site-operator founder by former Orchid executive Sam Hagger, has opened its third site - a pub deli in Leicester. The Rutland & Derby is in the city centre and has been re-opened after a £150,000 refurbishment. The pub has introduced the deli as part of a new look - meats, dips, bread and cheeses from around the world can now be bought to eat in or take away. The pub has also undergone a refurbishment which includes a rooftop terrace, a heated rear courtyard and cosmetic work inside. The other two Ssoosh sites are the Willow in Thurmaston and The Forge in Glenfield. Hagger said: “We are very excited to launch the deli and are very proud to have the first one in Leicester. Our aim was to take it back to being a traditional pub! We are very pleased with the refurbishment and the deli and we hope we have achieved what we set out to do.” The pub deli is open Monday to Saturday from 10am and a large range of beers and ciders, with draft beers available in 1/3 pint measures for tasting. Experts are on hand to suggest the perfect drink to compliment customer’s choices from the deli.
