SABMiller, the brewing giant, has announced the appointment of Chris Taylor as its new group international brands director. Taylor has been promoted from his role as brand director of Peroni Nastro Azzurro, during which time he oversaw the rollout of the drink across 15 worldwide markets. He will have four brands directors from Grolsch, Miller Genuine Draft, Peroni Nastro Azzurro and Pilsner Urquell report to him. Group marketing director Nick Fell said: “The appointment of Chris to this newly-created role will ensure closer coordination across our international brands in the global marketplace and more effective sharing of best practice and systems. “With the recent acquisition of Grolsch, our international portfolio is ideally positioned to increase SABMiller’s market share in the fastest growing segment of the global beer market.” The company has also named Pam Powell as director of group marketing strategy and innovation.
