RWB Leisure, the Manchester-based restaurant and bar operator, will open its third site in the city, The Bakerie, later this month. The new wine bar and delicatessen will open across two units at The Hive development in Manchester's Northern Quarter. The wine bar will serve bread and dips, while the adjoining outlet will feature a range of deli counters and will be used for book signings, art previews and other events. RWB, which is led by David Cook and Alyson Doocey, already operates the Italian restaurant Dough Pizza Kitchen and the Apotheca restaurant and cocktail bar in the Northern Quarter. Cook said: “The two units are perfect for Bakerie, a brand new offer for the Northern Quarter. We’ll be stocking a wide range of quality wines, baking our own bread on site and everything you can buy in the wine bar, you’ll be able to buy in the tasting store. We’re looking forward to opening the wine bar in the autumn and the tasting store in winter.”
