Ruth’s Hospitality Group, owner of Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse and one of the vanguard of American restaurant brands expected to come to the UK, saw sales climb in the final months of the year. The company, which also owns the Mitchell's Fish Market brand, saw company-owned restaurant sales, excluding franchise and other income, increase 8% to $90.4m (£58m) for the fourth quarter of 2010, versus $83.8m (£54m) for the fourth quarter of 2009. As well as a presence in more than 30 US states, the New Orleans-based business currently has restaurants in Canada, Hong Kong, Japan, Mexico and the Middle East.
