Joel Robuchon has opened two new restaurants in the same West End of London building. L’Atelier du Joel is downstairs and La Cuisine is upstairs The Daily Mail describes Robuchon has the chef who threw langoustine ravioli at Gordon Ramsay. The newspaper sent along critic Robert Hardman to taste the dinner at L’Atelier du Joel – all 18 courses of it. He is suitably impressed. The Daily Telegraph sent along Christopher Middleton. Who says the hot souffle with pistachio ice cream insert was “absolute perfection” while the chocolate pudding was billed as a sensation but turned out “more Angel Delight”.
