Some of Britain’s leading restaurateurs are championing the use of frozen vegetables in the belief they are better nutritionally and tastier than their fresher counterparts. L’Escargo proprietor Marco Pierre White said with frozen sprouts he knows they have been picked and frozen within hours making them fresher than those described as “fresh”.
