RBS Restaurants, owners of The Palm Tree Indian restaurant in Reading, have acquired a site in London. The company has let the former Bar Bourse premises in Queen Street in the City. It has entered into a 15 year FRI kease for the over ground floor and basement 2,650 sq ft unit off an agreed rent of £77,000 per annum, incorporating a 12 month rent free period. M&C Report understands that the group plans to launch a high end Indian restaurant at the site. Shelley Sandzer acted on behalf of the landlord, Orchard Street UK Special Situations Fund Partnership. Bar Bourse was owned by Louise Mayo before being acquired by The Food & Drink Group, which subsequently fell into administration in late 2008.
