High-profile chef Gordon Ramsay’s consultancy contract with Rotisserie Laurier BBQ restaurant in Montreal, Canada, is set to end tomorrow after just six months. The chef opened Laurier Gordon Ramsay in August, with restaurant to be operated under consultancy by Gordon Ramsay Holdings (GRH). However, according to reports in Canada, owner Danny Lavy is ending the link up with Ramsay early over the high-profile chef’s lack on involvement in the project. He told a local newspaper: “We wish Gordon all the best, but he’s a big star and too busy to come to the restaurant. He didn’t have time to manage it. He hasn’t been here since August.” GRH, which currently operates 16 restaurants outside the UK, confirmed last month that it would open a new restaurant in Las Vegas, Gordon Ramsay Steak, at the Paris Las Vegas resort this spring. The chef will take over the existing Les Artistes Steakhouse at the hotel and casino. It is expected to be one of two restaurants the chef eventually opens in Las Vegas.
