A private buyer has acquired a 10-strong package of pubs, let to Town & City Pub Company, in a deal believed to be valued at around £15m, M&C Report has learnt. The package is thought to have been held in one of three companies in administration: Yates Propco, Pumpster, and S&L Propco, which was brought onto the market through Fleurets and DTZ on behalf of administrator Ernst & Young last year. Coffer Corporate Leisure is believed to have advised on the acquisition A total of 89 former Laurel Pub Company pubs, which part of the administration process, have been placed on the market over the last 18 months. Last August, the virtual freehold of a flagship Slug and Lettuce site off London’s Leicester Square was sold to West End property investment company Shaftsbury for roughly 50% above its guide price. The site, which is let to Town & City, was marketed for offers in excess of £3.4m and was sold for around £4.5m.
