Victor Hwang, the Hong Kong tycoon who owns the Battersea Power Station site through Parkview International, is to take personal control of its £1.5bn redevelopment. He will become executive director of the project, with his son Leo vice-president and his daughter Vicky director of leasing. The project has suffered a series of setbacks and the grade II listed building has been empty since 1983. Parkview has lined up finance from the Bank Of Scotland and Barclays for the redevelopment. It includes a restaurant at the top of one of the towers, as well as two hotels, shops and flats. Financial Times 29/6/06 page 2
