Noble Group, the leisure and amusement arcade operator, has placed Brighton Pier, one of Britain’s most famous coastal landmarks, which includes an amusement park, pubs, shops and restaurants, on the market. The asking price for the Grade II-listed pier has not been disclosed but reports suggest it could be sold for anything between £10m and £50m. Facilities on the pier include 18 themed attractions and rides, two amusement arcades, retail outlets, two bars and a restaurant. Noble Group said that it was selling the pier to focus on other opportunities. David Biesterfield, Noble’s development director, said: “Brighton Pier is unique: a dynamic, modern business based on and sustaining our heritage. The resurgence of British tourism and the forthcoming Olympics represent an exciting opportunity for further increasing the number of visitors to the pier. We anticipate a great deal of interest in the sale of this world renowned asset.”
