SABMiller is close to signing deals to acquire three more breweries in the north of China for around £500m. The Anglo-South African group already has a 49% stake in the China Resources Snow Breweries and next month will open its first brewery in Vietnam. Its Miller brand is also set to be launched in China with both Peroni and Pilsner being trialled in Shanghai. The moves will cement SAB's dominance across basic and premium brands in China, the largest beer market in the world.
