Sir Michael Caine is set to open an Indian restaurant called Deya, in London's Portman Square next month. The new venture will be the veteran actor's first restaurant since The Canteen closed in 2000. Caine previously co-owned a string of restaurants but quit the business four years ago saying it was "no longer fun". Head chef Sanjay Dwivedi and head barman Massimo di Paola were previously at Zaika, one of the first Indian restaurants to receive a Michelin star. "This project is the first that has excited me enough to get back in the business, and I am really looking forward to it," Caine said.
