Police in Leicester have pioneered a plan to ban pub-goers from wearing baseball caps and hooded tops, because they make identification using CCTV footage difficult. James Bancroft, the manager of O'Neills in the city centre, told the Morning Advertiser: "We ask people to remove baseball caps on Friday and Saturday nights. "We want to create a safer environment for everyone. Peaks just cover people's faces and make it impossible to identify them on CCTV."
