Richard Caring, the restaurant tycoon, who runs The Ivy in London, has denied obstructing police in the cash-for-peerages investigation. Lawyers for Mr Caring, who loaned Labour £2m, admitted he had not spoken to officers but said he provided written evidence and was "fully co-operating".
