Two Dorset market gardeners have grown the world’s hottest chilli, which Aktar Miha, from the Indus Bangladeshi restaurant, in Bournemouth, said “could blow your head off”. A laboratory in New York has confirmed the chilli is 60% hotter than the previous one listed in the Guinness Book of Records. The Times says that anyone eating the Dorset Naga red chilli would need hospital treatment. Miha described it as a “killer” chilli, which even in its home country of Bangladesh, most people did not cook with - they just touched their food with it.
