Teton Valley Trading, the company that until very recently owned Chinawhite, has gone into liquidation owing almost £1m.
A new company, Firstfind, now runs the exlusive London nightclub with the same directors.
Speculation suggests the financial troubles stem from the club’s attempt to establish itself on the polo scene last summer with hospitality ventures which "were poorly run", according to a source quoted in The Daily Telegraph.
Firstfind refused to comment.
