Gaucho Grill, the Argentinean steakhouse concept led by Zeev Godik, is continuing to focus on its international rollout plans and is exploring opportunities in Abu Dhabi. The company, which operates 14 restaurants in the UK, including 12 in London, will open its first site in the United Arab Emirates in Dubai, this winter. M&C Report understands that it is now looking at further opportunities in the region. The group, which is backed by Intermediate Capital Group, opened its first site in Lebanon last year, which is trading in line with expectations. Gaucho has a further two restaurants in Kuwait trading under a franchise agreement and is looking at a possible opening in Dublin. The company is also still hoping to open in Edinburgh despite missing out on a site at the city’s Assembly Rooms to Jamie’s Italian.
