Belhaven Pubs received the award for best managed pub company of the year for operators with 10 to 99 outlets. Tenanted pub companies of the year were Greene King Pub Partners (100+ outlets) and Commer Inns (10 to 99 outlets).
Entrepreneurial business of the year was won by Fagins Bars and Restaurants, the seven-strong chain which calls itself the "JD Wetherspoon of Wales." George Gale, the Hampshire brewer and pub operator, won regional brewer of the year.
Thorley Taverns managed to nab bar person of the year for Diane Finneran of the St Lawrence Tavern in Ramsgate and Family pub of the year for its Captain Digby in Broadstairs, Kent.
Other winners included Scottish & Newcastle's new wine bar concept Grape, which was winner of Pub design of the year while Marketing Pub of the year went to S&N's Evergreens pub in central London. Customer service pub of the year was Regent Inns' The Old Library in Taunton
Richard and Siobhan Tubb, the Taunton sites landlords also won the Innkeeper of the year.
The Foxcote pub in Cheshire won Catering pub of the year, while Sue Gray of the Fox & Goose in Stratford-upon-Avon was named as Businesswoman of the year, Freehouse of the year was the Pickwick Inn in Cornwall, Music Pub of the year was The Witchwood and
Newcomer of the year was the Corban Restaurant & Bar in Cheshire.
