The Sunday Telegraph says readers should consider following Guy Naggar and Nick Basing at Paramount and plough money into the owner of Chez Gerard, Bertoreli and Café Fish. Naggar’s share has grown from less than 3% to almost 13% since May last year and other directors have been topping up, too. Like-for-like sales increased1.4% in the first half and 2.8% in the second half of the year and Paramount has reversed the negative sales trend with various measures including the reduction of the number of suppliers. Paramount bought the restaurants for £15.5m last April when it was an Alternative Investment Market-listed cash shell. The Sunday Telegraph (Business) 04/04/04 page 9 (Look who’s trading)
