Restaurateur Peter Gladwin has sold his Just the Bridge restaurant in the City of London to Christian Butler, former senior manager of the Baltic Restaurant Group, for an undisclosed sum. The 80-cover Thames-side venue, which will be renamed as Northbank, will be Butler’s first restaurant venture. Gladwin, who owns two other restaurants in the West End, is also selling his Just Gladwins eaterie in Minster Court in order to focus on the expansion of his catering company, Party Ingredients. Stuart Mun-Gavin of Christie & Co, which handled the sale, said: “This prime-sited city location benefiting from spectacular views and good footfall offers an excellent opportunity for Christian Butler to establish his first restaurant, Northbank, which is set to open very soon following refurbishment.”
