Dezzie McCausland, the Northern Irish entrepreneur, is in talks to launch more late-night venues under the McQueen brand, after the success of his first site dedicated to the actor Steve McQueen, which opened in London’s Shoreditch last year. McCausland is reportedly in talks with the late actor’s family to expand the brand globally and hopes to open two more venues under the McQueen name before the end of 2011. He hopes to franchise the brand across the UK and Ireland, and is reportedly in talks with McQueen’s son, Chad, regarding expansion of the concept globally. He told the Belfast Telegraph: “I'm planning to open a second one in Clapham and a third one by the end of the year and I'd love to see a McQueen bar open in Belfast and Dublin. The McQueen family wants to be involved if we launch in New York or Los Angeles and I'd be delighted with that.”
