Alcohol education charity Drinkaware has appointed former director of public health in the NHS and general practitioner Dr. Catherine Brogan to its Board of Trustees. Dr Brogan brings more than 10 years health-related experience to the role. She is the founding director and chief executive of Public Health Action Support Team, which gives public health advice and training to health and wellbeing commissioners and providers. Brogan said: “I am very pleased to join the Drinkaware Board which represents a good example of how leading health experts, the alcohol industry, government as well as talented people from marketing, behaviour scientists and others can work together to promote healthy behaviours and reduce problem drinking.”
