Compass Group has paid £250m for the remaining 51% of Levy Restaurants. Compass bought a 49% stake in the American entertainment caterer from chairman Larry Levy in 2000. Levy has seen revenues grow nearly three times since then to $560m (£316m). Exane BNP Paribas recommends buying Compass shares at 230p (this week’s price 229p) on the back of optimism about the sale of Select Service Partner and following a strategic review of the group’s businesses and several changes of top management.
