Coca-Cola Co said president and chief operating officer Jack Stahl has decided to resign and explore other career interests and opportunities, adding that the company is forming four strategic business units.

"This new structure is what The Coca-Cola Company needs for a new century," chairman and chief executive officer Doug Daft said "We are creating four strategic business units -- Americas, Asia, Europe/Africa, and New Business Ventures -- each with its own executive leadership. These units will work together as a nimble and entrepreneurial network well equipped to seize promising market opportunities and capture value."

The executives of the four units will report to Daft.
