Ceviche, the hotly-tipped Peruvian restaurant and bar concept headed by Martin Morales, has secured its second site in London’s Shoreditch. The restaurant is set to open next spring; its current outlet is in Frith Street, Soho. “The new restaurant will feature Ceviche’s much loved Ceviche Bar and Pisco Bar but this time even bigger, a dedicated BBQ for sizzling anticucho skewers, take away options and live music and djs,” Ceviche said in a statement. “The success of Ceviche on Frith Street has been absolutely sensational, with packed out tables and rave reviews from national critics such as Giles Coren and Tracey MacLeod. The harshest critics – Peruvians themselves – have flocked to Ceviche in their 1000s adding to the 45,000 customers already visited.” Last month Morales told M&C Report: “The appetite for our brand is strong in London. After Soho, the plan was to set up a second site after 14 months and open sites three and four soon after that. But we have a strong case to expand sooner. We are therefore looking for site two now and are talking to our team of investors about raising further funds as well as with potential new investors.” A Ceviche cookbook featuring more than 100 Peruvian recipes has been released alongside the new restaurant launch as has a 7-inch single through its own music label Tiger’s Milk Records.
